I had lower leg surgery with Dr Ali last year. I am really happy with the result. I had really bad pools of lipodema fat on the side of my ankles and he was recommended by many as being one of the best at lowers in Turkey. He operates out of a hospital in Istanbul. He has a strict BMI of between 26 – 29 which i found difficult to reach before surgery. He agreed to proceed with my BMI being 30. He uses a super dry method for lowers. The advantage of this method is that you see the results more or less straight away although you do have swelling. There is also no leakage . He uses a different technique for upper legs and arms. He normally does lower legs and upper arms as a package. He doesn’t do full legs together as far as i know . He is a lovely man who has a lot of knowledge about the disease. He requires a lot of blood work and a doppler vein scan before he books you for surgery. I had a really good recovery and started MLD 4 days after surgery in Istanbul , i continued with it for the first 6 weeks. I had it twice a week for 3 weeks and once a week for another 3.
