Dr Purbey himself is a lovely man and very thorough and understanding. The booking/consultation admin system was a bit of a mess and put me off initially. After speaking to other ladies who had fantastic results with him I was convinced to do a face to face consult in the London clinic. I’m very glad I did because after seeing 4 other surgeons for legs I decided to go with him as he was much more understanding about me as a stage 1 patient and what I was looking to achieve. Currently 3 days post op and today I received a phonecall from his nurse Wendy who spent a long time checking up on everything for me. She was incredibly thorough. I have a 3-day follow up tomorrow in person and then another one at 7 days. Then another at 6 weeks. I’ll be having 2 further surgery stages with Dr Purbey this year. I can’t comment on my own results yet as it’s too early but testimonials from others are great.
I just would have to say that apart from his nurse Wendy who was very helpful, the post-op helpline of the practice connected me with a man who was incredibly rude to me and gave me no help. I asked him what soaps I should avoid using after my operation and he actually said to me ‘this is not my job to tell you what soap to use or not, why do you keep going on about it’. Luckily I had Wendy to speak to who was the opposite. The practice also got my details wrong multiple times prior to admission.
Overall, Dr Purbey and his immediate team = fantastic. He is an expert.
